Ryan Park is one of the most popular snowmobiling spots in Carbon County.
Wyoming is known for their extreme temperatures throughout the year. Even though you may think of Carbon County, Wyoming as primarily a summer destination there are also lots of great winter activities. Carbon County has fantastic snowmobiling trails and is considered a top destination by snowmobile enthusiasts.
Getting There
Just go through the highway 130, and you'll find the Ryan Park located just 23 miles southeast of Saratoga. Ryan Park is the gateway to the Snowy Range Mountains in the Medicine Bow National Forest.
The Trails
With over 300 miles of groomed and ungroomed snowmobile trails throughout Medicine Bow National Forest, the Ryan Park area offers plenty of opportunities for winter exploration.
Area Amenities
There are several companies in the area offering guided trips & snowmobile rental. There is also plenty of area lodging & dining options. Many of the trails are at 10,000 feet plus and the views are breathtaking! Make sure to get a map and follow safety protocols. After a fantastic ride you will probably want to make the trek back to Saratoga to take a soak in Hobo Hot Springs.
Permits
Resident and non-resident snowmobile user fees are required by Wyoming State Law. These annual user fee revenues are used by the Snowmobile Trails Fund for trail grooming and maintenance. Proof of payment is in the form of a decal which must be displayed on the exterior left side of the snow machine.
